Merryn Trevethan

Merryn Trevethan is a practicing artist known for her vibrant, dynamic paintings that explore the urban landscape. Her practice examines a world saturated with imagery of all kinds; and queries how our mind attempts to make sense this flood of visual data. Merryn has held many successful solo exhibitions around Australia and has been included in many curated group exhibitions and art prizes. In 2005, Merryn completed her Masters of Fine Arts (by research) at Monash University, Melbourne. She has undertaken residencies at Red Gate Gallery in Beijing, China and Point B Worklodge, Brooklyn (New York). Merryn has been teaching workshops in acrylic painting techniques for over 4 years. She is currently living in Singapore and will starting to teach workshops here in 2015 but she still returns regularly to Melbourne to teach at The Art Room, Footscray.
