Alison Orchard

Alison Orchard is widely known for her atmospheric paintings, particularly her seascapes and landscapes. She is a strong believer in drawing, loves painting direct from the landscape and enjoys developing her paintings and exploring new techniques in her studio on the Surrey/Hampshire border. She works primarily in oil, acrylic and mixed media. She attended St Ives School of Art as a teenager and went onto Epsom School of Art & Design (Foundation Diploma) and Harrow College, University of Westminster (B.A. hons). Alison enjoyed a successful career as a commercial illustrator and designer, before she decided to focus on her fine art, with a debut solo exhibition, in 2009. Her paintings have been shown at various prominent art fairs, with exhibitions in South East England, London, Guernsey & Portugal and she is listed in current issues of ‘Who’s Who in Art’. Alison’s work has a growing following and is held in private collections. Alison has been running classes and workshops since 2009 in all aspects of art, including life drawing. Aside from her private classes she also runs art workshops for private companies, galleries and art societies.
