GOLDEN Products:

  • Fluid Colors: Iridescent Bright Gold (Fine), Historical Sap Green Hue, Iridescent Copper (Fine), Ultramarine Blue
  • Heavy Body Colors: Pearl Mica Flake (Small)
  • Clear Tar Gel

Other Components:

  • ATC Trading Card Panel
  • Metal tree stencil

Step 1: Apply a basecoat of Fluid Iridescent Bright Gold (Fine). Let dry.

Step 2: Spread on a thin layer Pearl Mica Flake (Small), allowing some of the background to show through. Let dry.

Step 3: Apply a wash of Sap Green Hue to the surface. Let dry.

Step 4: Apply Clear Tar Gel to entire surface and let dry.

Step 5: Apply Iridescent Copper (Fine) through a metal stencil of a tree*.  The Iridescent Copper is very thin and will bleed through the hollows of the stencil, creating a very different pattern when dry. Allow stenciled tree to dry.

Step 6: Add a thin wash of Ultramarine Blue over the copper surface of the tree to accentuate the textures.

*NOTE: Always clean stencils thoroughly immediately after using with acrylics. If the acrylic is allowed to dry, it could permanently adhere to the stencil.
