GOLDEN Products:

  • Fluid Colors: Titanium White, Dioxazine Purple, Cobalt Teal, Quinacridone Magenta, Interference Violet (Fine)
  • Heavy Gel (Gloss)
  • Glass Bead Gel
  • Self Leveling Clear Gel

Other Components:

  • ATC Trading Card Panel
  • Photocopy of a striped image
  • Clock stamp
  • Printed digital image (child)

Step 1: Apply a Fluid Acrylic basecoat of Titanium White mixed with Fluid Dioxazine Purple for a light pink base.

Step 2: Do a photocopy transfer of a striped image onto Heavy Gel (Gloss). (See http://www.goldenpaints.com/artist/directransfer.php for more information on photocopy transfers.)

Step 3: Paint Fluid Titanium White onto a Clock stamp* and stamp over the Heavy Gel (Gloss). Let dry.

Step 4: Apply a thin layer of Glass Bead Gel in all areas outside the clock and let dry.

Step 5: Apply Fluid Cobalt Teal and Quinacridone Magenta washes over the Glass Bead Gel surface. Let dry.

Step 6: To level out the surface, pour a small amount of Self Leveling Clear Gel over the surface and use a palette knife to spread flat.  Let dry; if the surface is not level enough apply another coat.

Step 7: The digital photo of the girl with bear was printed from an ink-jet printer onto an acrylic skin of Fluid Interference Violet (Fine) prepared with Digital Ground for Gloss Surfaces. (See http://www.goldenpaints.com/mixmoremedia/ for more information on digital printing.)
Cut out the image with scissors and apply with Soft Gel (Matte).

*NOTE: Always clean stamps thoroughly immediately after using with acrylics. If the acrylic is allowed to dry, it could permanently adhere to the stamp.
