Paint Products:

  • Fluid Acrylic Iridescent Bronze
  • Fluid Acrylic Chromium Oxide Green
  • Fluid Acrylic Cobalt Teal
  • Heavy Body Light Magenta
  • Crackle Paste

Brushes and Tools:

  • Large Foam Stamp
  • Palette Knife
  • Color Wash Brush
  • Water
  • Foam Roller/Sponge Brush

Painting Instructions:

Step 1.  Using a foam roller or sponge brush, apply Heavy Body Light Magenta to surface.  Allow to dry.

Step 2.  Using a palette knife, apply one section of the untinted Crackle Paste.  Push stamp directly into the wet Crackle Paste. You will want to push down with a bit of pressure, so that when you lift stamp out, you have revealed the under coat of pink. Clean the stamp with water.  Mix Crackle Paste and Fluid Chromium Oxide Green at a 10:1 ratio.  Apply this in a separate area and stamp into the wet Crackle Paste.
Allow to dry.

Step 3.  Dampen the dry white Crackle Paste with clean water. Then apply Fluid Iridescent Bronze with water and wash or stain using a small colorwash brush on the surface. Allow a minute or two for the green patina to appear.  Add more water or more Fluid Iridescent Bronze to desired look.  Allow to dry.

Step 4.  On the green tinted Crackle Paste, use a colorwash brush to apply Cobalt Teal to the surface. Apply paint to the tips of your brush, then drag the paint gently over the high portions of the stamped texture. You want just the tips of your brush to touch. This is called a dry brush technique. Allow to dry.
