Paint Products:

  • Clear Tar Gel
  • Gold Mica Flake (Small)
  • Custom Opaque Fiber Paste
  • Fluid Iridescent Stainless Steel Fine
  • Matte Fluid Acrylic Colors

Brushes and Tools:

  • Foam Stamps
  • Palette Knife
  • Paint Brush

Painting Instructions:

Page 1.  Matte Fluid Color brushed on top, with Gold Mica Flake Small brushed over dried color.  Matte Fluid Color on housetops.  Clear Tar Gel over water on bottom.  Allow to dry.

Page 2.  Tape off page in strips.  Using a paintbrush, paint over entire page using Matte Fluid Color.  Pull tape.  Allow to dry.  Using a foam stamp, brush other Matte Fluid colors on stamp, and stamp onto page.  Allow to dry.

Page 3.  Brush Matte Fluid Colors on sky and trees.  Palette knife Clear Tar Gel on street lights.  Allow to dry.

Page 4.  Brush on Matte Fluid Colors. Allow to dry.

Page 5.  Brush Matte Fluid Colors on background.  Palette knife Clear Tar Gel onto grapes.  Allow to dry.

Page 6.  Mix Custom Opaque Fiber Paste with Matte Fluid Color.
Apply with a palette knife.  Allow to dry.

Page 7.  Paint background with Matte Fluid Colors.  Using a foam stamp and a brush, paint Fluid Iridescent Stainless Steel (Fine) onto stamp and stamp onto page.  Allow to dry.

Page 8.  Brush Matte Fluid Color on side area.  Apply Clear Tar Gel using a palette knife on the windows.  Mix Matte Fluid Color and Coarse Pumice Gel and apply to floor using a palette knife.  Allow to dry.

Page 9.  Apply Clear Tar Gel on windows using a palette knife.  Draw with a paintbrush using Matte Fluid Colors on the beams and areas of window.  Allow to dry.

Golden Artist Colors provides these recipes as points of departure for exploring Golden products in faux finishing applications.

GOLDEN strongly recommends samples be created before attempting to apply these techniques to walls, some techniques will be difficult to remove or to cover at a later date.
