Fluid Micaceous Iron Oxide:
Iridescent Sponge Off

Paint Products:

• Fluid Micaceous Iron Oxide
• Fluid Iridescent Silver

Brushes and Tools:

• 2 roller covers – nap or foam
• Sea sponge
• Cheesecloth

Painting Instructions:

Step 1. With a nap roller, roll Fluid Iridescent Silver as base coat, more than one coat may be necessary. Allow each coat to dry before applying next coat.

Step 2. With a foam roller, apply Fluid Micaceous Iron Oxide (FMIO) over surface. When painting a large area, work in a 2’ x 2’ area maximum due to the speed that FMIO dries. While wet, take a damp sea sponge and dab over the entire surface.

Step 3 . Next, take the cheesecloth and lightly dab the surface. A mottled, patina should appear. Allow to dry .

Clean Up: Wash hands and tools in soap and water. Keep tools wet while working to prevent permanent adhesion of the acrylic materials.
