Paint Products:

  • Coarse Pumice Gel
  • Fluid Interference Oxide Green (Y/S)
  • Fluid Interference Oxide Violet

Brushes and Tools:

  • Palette knife/spackle blade
  • Color Wash brush

Painting Instructions:

Step 1. Using a palette knife or spackle blade, apply Coarse Pumice Gel to surface. Allow to dry 24 hours.

Step 2. Brush water onto surface and immediately brush in the Fluid colors. Allow the colors to soften and absorb into the Coarse Pumice Gel. More color will be needed depending on desired color intensity.

Step 3. Repeat this step as often as needed to achieve the desired color. Allowing the surface to dry between layers and/or using less water will speed up the technique.

Clean Up: Wash hands and tools in soap and water. Keep tools wet while working to prevent permanent adhesion of the acrylic materials.

Important: Golden Artist Colors provides these recipes as points of departure for exploring Golden products in faux finishing applications.

GOLDEN strongly recommends samples be created before attempting to apply these techniques to walls, some techniques will be difficult to remove or to cover at a later date. Please contact the technical support team before application if there are concerns or questions at 1-800-959-6543.
