Paint Products:

  • Matte Heavy Body Titanium White
  • Matte Fluid Raw Umber

Brushes and Tools:

  • Nap roller
  • Sponge stamps
  • Palette knife

Painting Instructions:

Step 1. Apply base coat and allow to dry.

Step 2. Tint Matte Heavy Body Titanium White with one drop of Matte Fluid Raw Umber, ratio of 10:1.

Step 3. Press sponge stamp into paint mixture, dab off on a practice place to gauge how much paint is coming off. Proceed to stamp an even, all-over pattern onto your surface.

Step 4. Consider using the stamp without “re-inking” to create ghost images, or a more subtle pattern to fill in the spaces and create a surface with greater depth. Allow to dry.

Clean Up: Wash hands and tools in soap and water. Keep tools wet while working to prevent permanent adhesion of the acrylic materials.

Important: Golden Artist Colors provides these recipes as points of departure for exploring Golden products in faux finishing applications.

GOLDEN strongly recommends samples be created before attempting to apply these techniques to walls, some techniques will be difficult to remove or to cover at a later date. Please contact the technical support team before application if there are concerns or questions at 1-800-959-6543.
