Painting Instructions:

Important: Golden Artist Colors provides these recipes as points of departure for exploring Golden products in faux finishing applications.

Golden strongly recommends samples be created before attempting to apply these techniques to walls, some techniques will be difficult to remove or to cover at a later date.

Please contact the technical support team before application if there are concerns or questions at 1-800-959-6543.

Step 1.
Base coat surface and allow to dry.

Step 2. Mix High Solid Gel (Matte) with Fluid Iridescent Bronze at a 10:1 ratio. Skim a thin layer of this mixture across surface using the putty knife.

Step 3. To create the Seashells, place the corner of the putty knife onto the surface and use it as a pivot point. Rotate the knife 180 degrees lifting and pressing gently into the gel to create the subtle effect of seashells, it is very important to hold the knife at a very low angle to the surface. Practicing this technique is recommended. Be sure to overlap the seashells and clean off excess gel from the putty knife. Allow surface to dry.

Step 4. Rub Fluid Iridescent Pearl over top of seashell surface with a damp rag and allow surface to dry once the effect is satisfactory.
