  • Rags

Painting Instructions:

Important: Golden Artist Colors provides these recipes as points of departure for exploring Golden products in faux finishing applications.

GOLDEN strongly recommends samples be created before attempting to apply these techniques to walls, some techniques will be difficult to remove or to cover at a later date.

Please contact the technical support team before application if there are concerns or questions at 1-800-959-6543.

Step 1.
Apply the Molding Paste to surface with a putty knife, approximately 1/8" thick.

Step 2. Run the Stainless Steel Graining Comb through the Molding Paste in a vertical direction over the entire surface. Then, take the Putty Knife and smooth out some areas to create a "hidden/revealed" effect through the combed lines. Allow the surface to thoroughly dry.

Step 3. Use damp rags to apply the Glaze colors. Begin with the Hunter Green to cover most of the surface. Use the Burnt Sienna and Bronze Glazes as accents. The Fluid Micaceous Iron Oxide is an optional color accent. Allow the surface to dry.
