Important: Golden Artist Colors provides these recipes as points of departure for exploring Golden products in faux finishing applications.

GOLDEN strongly recommends samples be created before attempting to apply these techniques to walls, some techniques will be difficult to remove or to cover at a later date.

Please contact the technical support team before application if there are concerns or questions at 1-800-959-6543.

Step 1.
Roll on base coat and allow surface to dry.

Step 2. Using a rag, wipe on a light coating of the Burnt Sienna Glaze and allow the surface to dry.

Step 3. Create a palette of the Coarse Garnet Gel, the Light Molding Paste mixed with the Heavy Body Mars Yellow, and the Regular Gel (Gloss) mixed with the Fluid Iridescent Copper. Thin layers of the three mixtures will be used. For our sample, we mixed at a ratio of 1:1 color to gel and only needed a "quarter" size amount of each product mixture.

Step 4. Tape stencil to surface. Using a putty knife, drag the Coarse Garnet Gel and Light Molding Paste mixtures over  the stencil. Blend each color where they meet but allow areas of solid color to exist untouched by the other. Next, apply the Regular Gel mixture over the top to highlight or feature certain areas of the stencil design. Remove stencil and allow surface to dry. Repeat stencil for desired design

Step 5. Mix up a glaze of Acrylic Glazing Liquid (Satin) and the Fluid Iridescent Copper. We mixed the Fluid to Glazing Liquid at a 1:5 ratio. Brush this glaze over the surface and soften with cheesecloth or a rag. Allow the surface to dry.
