Indoor Murals:

I am looking for a product with which to paint an interior mural in a steam room. Does GOLDEN have a product that could withstand the atmosphere in a steam room?
The acrylic paints can be used for the artwork, as long as they are "sandwiched" between two coats of materials that will withstand the excessive steam. My guess is you will need to use products intended to paint/coat in ground pools. Kelley Technical Coatings (502) 636-2561, makes a product called Poxolon. This is an epoxy system. Follow their directions for prepping, priming and sealing. You will need to abrade (roughen with sandpaper) the base color (white or blue), apply the artwork, apply an isolation coat of Soft Gel Gloss (2:1) with water, then apply the sealing coat. We would also imagine a quality urethane or other epoxy paint made for boat hulls could also be used, but you'd have to do the research on these kinds of products.
