Removing Acrylic Paints:

I am a collage artist and have just begun to use acrylics in my work. I manipulate the surface frequently and would like to be able to remove paint as I feel necessary. Do you have products that can facilitate removal or can you suggest alternatives?
Once the GOLDEN acrylics have cured, there is nothing, short of sanding or use of strong solvents (such as acetone), that will remove the acrylic. A quality 100% cotton rag watercolor paper may be able to handle the removal using the solvent, but we would think this would be an impractical and potentially dangerous method of working. If removability is something you would like to have in your paints, you should consider gouache and watercolor paints. These products should remove easily, but bear in mind works will need to be mounted and put behind glass, or carefully sealed and varnished to resist environmental damage.
