FAQ: GOLDEN Gels & Mediums
GOLDEN GELS & MEDIUMS

Wax Medium:

Can I use wax medium with acrylic paint?
We do not recommend mixing a wax medium with acrylics. The dangers are poor intercoat adhesion and the possibility of incomplete films. However, there are artists who work in acrylics and use the High Solid Gel Matte to achieve a waxy look in their work. This product can be freely mixed with acrylic paints and other mediums and be built up as thick as desired.
