GOLDEN PVA Colors are produced with AYAA and AYAC resin systems. They dry quickly to form very durable films, with excellent resistance to acids/alkalis, water and ultraviolet rays.

All of the pigments in GOLDEN PVA Colors are chosen for the greatest clarity and permanency within each chemical class. Additional colors can be made as Custom Products. Please contact GOLDEN for further details.

PVA Colors remain soluble in ethanol, making them ideal for easy removal without disturbing the layers of original paint underneath. For this reason, they are beneficial in art conservation for inpainting techniques.

The most common application of the PVA Colors is an indirect application. Due to the incredible rapid drying nature of the paints, blending on a palette is nearly impossible. The recommended procedure is to apply a small amount to a glass palette and allow them to thoroughly dry. Paint is removed in small amounts by use of a brush wetted with ethanol.

Testing is critical with these paints. Their fast drying nature demands definitive techniques. As stated above, color mixing of wet paint is difficult and a thin glaze/wash layering technique may be the easiest way to alter colors. The rapid drying allows for quick buildup of multiple thin layers.

PVA Paints are resoluble in various alcohols. Dried films may be removed. Clean tools with ethanol or like alcohol. Avoid freezing. Minimum film formation temperature is 48º F / 9º C.

"Professional Use Only" Products may only ordered from your Golden Artist Colors, Inc. dealer with the understanding that they will not be used in households or resold for use therein.
