Fluid Acrylic Paint Skin with Printed Image

GOLDEN Products:

• Fluid Titan Buff (or another Fluid Acrylic color) 
• Digital Ground Clear (Gloss) or Digital Ground for Non-Porous Surfaces

Other Components:

• Polyethylene plastic sheeting
• Painter’s tape
• Plain printer paper

Step 1. Lay a piece of polyethylene plastic on a flat surface. Pour a layer of GOLDEN Fluid Titan Buff onto the plastic, spreading with a palette knife to desired shape and size. Try to keep the layer to about thickness as printer paper. Let dry.

Step 2. Using a brush, coat the skin with GOLDEN Digital Ground Clear (Gloss) or GOLDEN Digital Ground for Non-Porous Surfaces. Apply two coats in opposite directions, allowing each coat to thoroughly dry between applications.

Step 3. By carefully lifting a corner and pulling up, remove the GOLDEN Fluid Acrylic paint skin from the plastic. A razor blade can sometimes be helpful to lift the edge of the skin.

Step 4. In preparation for printing, secure the skin to a carrier (painter’s tape and plain printer paper work well). Put the secured skin into the printer’s paper path.

Step 5. Print desired digital artwork or photograph onto the skin through an ink-jet printer. Remove from the carrier and use as desired.
