Good's of Evanston

Good's of Evanston
Location: Evanston, IL

Good’s is the store that artists shop when they need hard-to-find items or expert advice. We can say unequivocally that we have the most experienced art materials staff in the Chicago area.
For example, if you come for a visit you might run into Holly Holmes from our paint department. Holly is an artist and a painter. She studied art at Southern Illinois University and runs a co-op gallery called Garden Fresh. Holly also teaches at the Evanston Art Center and has been a valued employee for over four years.

Most people who visit our store for the first time can’t believe the variety we offer. While Good’s is not the largest store on a square footage basis, we carry items and brands that are difficult to find elsewhere.

Our store covers the ground floor of two adjacent buildings that are approximately a century old. The newer of the two was built in 1909. While we have not been able to date the older building, we believe it was constructed in 1895. Good’s has been a trusted member of our community longer than most people can remember. Our buildings are a symbol of this, demonstrating character, stability and classic design.
