Aboveground Art Supplies

Above Ground Image

Aboveground Art Supplies
Location: Toronto, ON Canada

In 1983, Aboveground Art Supplies began in a tiny, 300 square foot, windowless, second story location (hence the name). In 1998 we moved to our current location, a three-story completely restored and renovated circa 1887 building owned by the Ontario College of Art and Design (OCAD), the largest art college in Canada.

With over 4000 sq. feet of retail space, we are the art supply store of choice for Ontario College of Art and Design students, faculty and staff, as well as a wide variety of clientele in Toronto. In an effort to meet the needs of artists in whatever communication channel they prefer, our retail location is complimented by an extensive selection of products on our website, and a catalogue mail-order service for our customers in North America.

Our staff is comprised of practicing artists working in a diverse range of disciplines and styles. With selection and customer service our top priorities, we expect our staff to be fluent in all the products we offer. This level of acquired knowledge mixed with practical experience allows us to tackle any question a customer can throw at us.
