Discover new surfaces for drawing,
painting and mark making.
The GOLDEN Introductory Grounds Set contains a selection
of six products that work excellent as grounds for most dry media:
pencil, pastel, charcoal, crayon, marker and chalk
as well as ink, watercolor and acrylics. With varying
hardness, tooth and transparency, the surface
possibilities are endless -- ready for your marks, blends,
scribbles, colors, tints and washes.
Set includes 2 oz. each:
FINE PUMICE GEL - Slightly grey, with a fine, very subtle tooth that creates a velvety quality. Allows for a continuous line when drawn upon. Slighty transparent. COARSE MOLDING PASTE - A warm white, slightly translucent surface with a tooth like fine sandpaper. Allows for a diffused and softer blended edge.
CRACKLE PASTE - An opaque cracking material with an absorbent surface. A thin layer produces very fine cracks; thicker applications produce more pronounced cracks. ACRYLIC GROUND FOR PASTELS - Provides a tooth similar to papers designed for pastel and chalk, but can be applied to paper, canvas, wood or any primed support.
FIBER PASTE - An off-white, absorbent, handmade paper-like surface. Skim with a wet palette knife for a smoother surface. Exhibits a broken line when drawn upon. SILVERPOINT / DRAWING GROUND - A permanent, lightfast white surface. Designed for achieving fine detailed lines with metal points, but also usable with a wide assortment of media.
