GOLDEN Introduces New Acrylic Grounds Set

GOLDEN Introduces New Acrylic Grounds Set

tint and glaze poster 2nd edition

Colored pencil, pastel, charcoal, these are just some of the common drawing materials that work great on top of many GOLDEN textures. To help artists discover a broad range of options, GOLDEN is launching the new Introductory Grounds Set, which offers exciting surfaces when used as grounds for drawing or painting.

An ideal starting point for students, leisure artists, as well as the professional, this set will be offered at a limited-time, special low introductory purchase price during back-to-school and can be found in both the GOLDEN Acrylic aisle and in the Drawing aisle. With a sampling of six different products, artists will have the opportunity to try a range of grounds, eliminating the angst that sometimes comes from trying to decide whether or not to invest in a larger jar of something new. The set will include informational literature and will be supported by six online application videos, one for each product in the set:

• Fine Pumice Gel • Crackle Paste
• Fiber Paste • Coarse Molding Paste
• Acrylic Ground for Pastels • Silverpoint / Drawing Ground

For more information about the acrylic grounds in this set go to www.goldenpaints.com/groundset starting June 6. For information about related products in the GOLDEN Acrylic lineup, go to the Web site at www.goldenpaints.com. Artists can expect to see the new set at their local art supply retailers mid-July.

About Golden Artist Colors, Inc.
Located in its 100,000-square-foot facility in rural Columbus, N.Y., GOLDEN's 147 employees are committed to producing materials that encourage exploration of form and concept, while assuring archival integrity. GOLDEN takes pride in the fact that its Custom Lab is the only facility of its kind, dedicated to designing products to the specifications of individual artists. Developing paints to meet exacting criteria is the specialty of GOLDEN's custom operations. As a natural progression from its initiatives in the fine arts market, GOLDEN established Paintworks, the commercial paint and coatings division of Golden Artist Colors, Inc. It provides commercial and OEM clients with paint making technology, toll manufacturing and integrated solutions. GOLDEN Paintworks can design a full solution to a coatings project based on its expertise designing, manufacturing, marketing and selling high performance paints and coatings. The company also assists customers with complex production, packaging and regulatory issues. The company is not only committed to its customers and local community, but to its employee owners as well. In April 2010, GOLDEN employees became the majority owners of the company and in 2008, the company became a 100% Tobacco Free Campus for staff and visitors. In May 2010, Golden Artist Colors purchased Williamsburg Handmade Oil Colors.
