Golden Artist Colors, Inc. CEO Lectures at Savannah College of Art and Design
Mark Golden Presents “The New Patina: How Will Modern Work Age?”

Mark GoldenOn October 5, 2007 Golden Artist Colors, Inc. CEO Mark Golden participated in a lecture series hosted by the Savannah College of Art and Design.  Golden’s lecture, titled “The New Patina: How Will Modern Work Age?” was one presentation in a comprehensive series focused on art conservation, painting, history and architecture.  The series was led by industry authorities from the National Gallery of Art, leading art material manufacturers and several professors of art and art history from prestigious universities across the US.

In Golden’s lecture, a new concept was posed to the group to consider.  “We create work with such promises for the future, with materials that are meant to retain their clarity, brilliance, shape and form for dozens, hundreds or dare we say, even thousands of years. Using the best that modern technology has to offer, what will they really look like and how will they most likely age over time? Understanding these changes in the future will allow us now to make wiser choices.”  This concept is just one aspect the team at GOLDEN considers when researching and developing modern materials in its Laboratory.
